Asbestos-related lung cancer lawsuit names 25 companies

April 12th, 2010 – A man in Dunbar, West Virginia has filed a lawsuit against 25 companies that he claims failed to warn him about asbestos exposure during his working tenure, thus contributing to his lung cancer diagnosis.

According to documents filed in a Kanawha Circuit Court, Norris Gene Keeling was diagnosed with asbestos-related lung cancer on October 28, 2009, the West Virginia Record reports.

Keeling and his mesothelioma attorneys claim that he was exposed to asbestos products manufactured by the 25 defendants while working at a variety of job sites during his career.

The 25 companies named in the suit included such giants as Flowserve FSD, General Electric, Ingersoll-Rand, Metropolitan Life Insurance, United States Steel and Viacom. Read more…
